In it, the first conclusions drawn from the project were addressed. <strong>E-STEAM<\/strong>, an Erasmus + that works to promote the presence of women in Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The students and teachers of the Francesc Ribalta Institute participated in the event, as well as a committee of experts and mentors who contributed their vision and experience in this field. The day was also attended by <strong>Pilar Safont<\/strong>, Vice-Rector for Linguistic Promotion and Equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Representing the GeST, Gender, Health and Work research group <em>(http:\/\/gest.uji.es)<\/em> Led by the professor of the Universitat Jaume I Eva Cifre, Laritza Mach\u00edn attended, who presented the four stereotypes detected from studies in institutes in Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece and Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\tThe first of them is that \u201cgirls lack confidence in their STEAM skills\u201d, followed by \u201cboys associate more with STEM, even though girls are hardworking\u201d, \u201cboys are considered skilled in science\u201d and, finally, that \u201cboys are oriented towards achievements while girls are oriented towards feelings and caring for society.\u201d After the presentation of the project, the participatory workshop led by Ana Mar\u00eda Sol\u00eds, facilitator of the event, began, where experts, mentors, teachers and students were divided into four groups and had the opportunity to debate the situation of women in science based on these stereotypes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.eurofue.articagency.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Proyecto_mujeres_ciencia02-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1088 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1024px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1024\/683;\" \/><figcaption> <em>03\/07\/2019 Carme Ripoll\u00e9s<\/em> <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNeither a lack of confidence nor self-belief can stop us from achieving equality\u201d, the lack of knowledge of female scientific references or the need to \u201cchange education both at home and at school in a way that encourages the development of capabilities.\u201d \u201d are some of the conclusions that, after sharing ideas, the groups wrote on the murals. <br><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EuroFUE-UJI organized the Dona en la Ci\u00e8ncia conference on March 7.
