\"\"A delegation from the Universitat Jaume I headed by the rector, Eva Alc\u00f3n, traveled this week to Brussels <\/strong>to strengthen links with the main European Institutions and advance the strategy of internationalization <\/strong>of the UJI. In addition to the rector, the vice-rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, Joan Antoni Mart\u00edn, has also participated in this institutional work; the deputy vice-rector for Mobility and International Practices, Eva Camacho, and staff from Euro FUE-UJI<\/strong>.<\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The official visit, lasting a day and a half, included nine meetings with representatives of different institutions of the European Union and research agencies, as well as the presentation of CURE Alliance<\/strong>, the consortium of European universities led by Jaume I, which brings together six higher education centers from Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Germany and Poland. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n

\"\"The rector Eva Alc\u00f3n has given a very positive assessment of the trip to the European capital and has expressed her commitment "for the UJI to have a voice in Europe and to be an internationally recognized university." In addition to the presentation of the CURE Alliance consortium, the UJI delegation has also expressed its desire to promote internationalization in areas such as training and research, and has stressed the importance of having European support for Erasmus Mundus master's degrees and exchange programs with other universities and has been interested in the changes in programs such as Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe.<\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The official agenda has included meetings with representatives of the European Comission<\/strong>, such as the cabinet of Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, responsible for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth as well as the Project Officer in the Higher Education Policy Unit. As for the European Parliament<\/strong>, a meeting was held with MEP Dom\u00e8nec Ruiz Devesa; with the vice president of the Commission on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, Eugenia Rodr\u00edguez, and with the vice president of the Regional Development Commission, Isabel Benjumea.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The delegation led by the rector has also held meetings with the Employment, Social Affairs and Citizenship Section of the Economic and Social Committee, with the director of the Research and Innovation Network of the European Regions (ERRIN<\/strong>), Lindholm Pyrite; the R&D advisors of the Permanent Representation of Spain to the EU and the Valencian Community Foundation European Region.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
