The Working Breakfasts Europe 2027<\/a> of the FUE-UJI<\/a>, through its European and International Projects Office (EuroFUE-UJI), has presented to its Trustees cases of good practices in European projects. In this session of the Europe 2027 Work Breakfasts, a cycle of meetings on European financing that has the collaboration of Caixalmassora<\/strong>, have participated as speakers Amparo Marco<\/strong>, mayor of Castell\u00f3n; Francisco J. Vea<\/strong>, director of Innovation and New Technologies at Simetry Group; Luis Guaita<\/strong>, head of R&D&I of the Victoria Ceramics Spain group; and Enrique Sanchez<\/strong>, professor of Chemical Engineering at the UJI and director of the University Institute of Ceramic Technology (IUTC-UJI), who have presented different European projects as success stories.<\/p>\n

This session, the seventh of the Europe 2027 Work Breakfast cycle, has been inaugurated by Eva Alcon<\/strong>, rector of the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) and president of the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation (FUE-UJI), who stressed that "Europe represents an opportunity for financing actions, plans and programs, as well as scientific projects that "make us move towards a more sustainable, intelligent, social and cohesive social and economic model centered on people." For this reason, he has defended the importance of aligning institutional and business strategies with this paradigm shift and looking at the EU as an ally "so that the European transformation begins to take shape at the local level."<\/p>\n

Carlos Cabrera<\/strong>, executive president of the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation (FUE-UJI), spoke after the inauguration, giving some insights into the impact of European funding in the province of Castell\u00f3n. "Participation in European projects must be an indispensable element in the strategy and action of any organization with a vocation towards improving innovation, competitiveness, productivity and territorial convergence," said Cabrera.<\/p>\n

Amparo Marco<\/strong>, mayor of Castell\u00f3n, has presented the Transforma Castell\u00f3n project, financed by the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy Program (EDUSI). As Marco explained, the project aims to "make Castell\u00f3n a more accessible, greener and more human city."<\/p>\n

"PAV-DT focuses on improving the conservation of roads and road pavements," this is how it was presented Francisco J. Vea<\/strong>, director of Innovation and New Technologies of Symmetry Group the PAV-DT Project, financed within the framework of the European Program\u00a0Fast Tract to Innovation<\/em>\u00a0(FTI).<\/p>\n

In addition, two cases of good practices funded under the European R&D&I framework program Horizon 2020 have been presented. In this case, Luis Guaita<\/strong>, head of R&D&I of the Victoria Ceramics Spain group, has presented the ICEBERG Project\u00a0Circular Economy of Building Materials<\/em>; while Enrique Sanchez<\/strong>, professor of Chemical Engineering at the UJI and director of the Ceramic Technology University Institute (IUTC-UJI) has presented the IUTC-UJI REMEB project.<\/p>\n

Next, Gloria Serra<\/strong>, manager of the FUE-UJI, moderated the question time in which the attending Trustees raised their doubts to the speakers about the different projects presented in the session.<\/p>\n

The day was closed by Eva Alc\u00f3n, rector of the UJI and president of the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation, who gave special importance to the area of European financing in "the search for synergies between universities, research centers and the business sector".<\/p>\n
