Digital Europe<\/strong> has been the last European financing program presented in the Working Breakfasts Europe 2027<\/a> of the FUE-UJI<\/a>, through its European and International Projects Office (EuroFUE-UJI). This initiative, which has the collaboration of Caixalmassora<\/strong>, has been developed over the last few months in nine sessions, aimed especially at the companies and entities that are part of the FUE-UJI Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n

He Wednesday June 30<\/strong>, nearly 30 participants have gathered to delve deeper into the Digital Europe program and bring to an end this cycle on European financing that has sparked enormous interest and has been excellently received by companies.<\/p>\n

Juan Ignacio Torregrosa<\/strong>, general director for the Advancement of the Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana, and Luis Busquets<\/strong>, program officer DG CONNECT of the European Commission, were the invited experts on this day.<\/p>\n

Eva Alcon<\/strong>, rector of the Universitat Jaume I and president of the FUE-UJI, opened the session by highlighting that "this initiative has brought us closer during these months to the main financing mechanisms of the European Union for the period 2021-2027." Carlos Cabrera<\/strong>, executive president of the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation, stressed in his speech the importance of European financing for digital transformation through the Digital Europe program which "aims to support the digital transformation of the economy."<\/p>\n

Michael Serra<\/strong>, president of Caixalmassora, has expressed his gratitude for the initiative that "has allowed us to share knowledge, debate and experiences around the opportunities that Europe offers us."<\/p>\n

The Digital Europe program is a financing instrument to respond to the digital transformation processes of the European economy and society. Furthermore, it complements other actions designed by the European Commission in other areas, with a special emphasis on the educational field. Juan Ignacio Torregrosa<\/strong>, general director for the Advancement of the Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana, and Luis Busquets<\/strong>,\u00a0program officer<\/em>\u00a0DG CONNECT of the European Commission, have delved deeper into the program through the colloquium moderated by Angel Baez<\/strong>, director of the digital newspaper\u00a0Castellon Plaza<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

"Digital Spain 2025 has five lines of financing: universal access to the internet, having a digitalization program for SMEs, training for the digitalization of the population and a strategy to promote digitalization in research," he advanced. Torregrosa on the regional perspective of the European Digital Agenda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For his part, Busquets has delved deeper into the program Digital Europe for the period 2021-2027<\/strong>\u00a0indicating that "the digital decade sets objectives for 2030 that depend on society, companies and public administration." This new program of the European Commission seeks, as a general objective, to support the digital transformation of the European economy and society and in this way, transfer its benefits to European citizens and companies. It does this through five specific objectives: high performance computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced digital skills and the best use of digital capabilities and interoperability.<\/p>\n

The question time has given the FUE-UJI trustees the opportunity to reflect on the topics presented by the experts. This colloquium included the participation of Gloria Serra<\/strong>, manager of the FUE-UJI, highlighting how "from the Europe 2027 Work Breakfast cycle we wanted to update and make the information on European financing initiatives more accessible to all employers."<\/p>\n
