The EuroFUE-UJI attended the "citizen dialogue" organized by the EFE Agency in Valencia, where the Trade Commissioner of the European Commission, Cecilia Malmstr\u00f6m, and the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, participated.<\/p>\n

Puig has pointed out before participating in Valencia in a new edition of 'EFE Forum Europe', organized by the EFE Agency, that the Valencian Community has always looked abroad, since "the international pillar in the Valencian, Spanish and European economy is fundamental \u201d.<\/p>\n
He thanked the European Commissioner for Trade,\u00a0Cecilia Malsmtr\u00f6m<\/strong>, its presence in the Valencian Community, something that is \u201ca source of pride and satisfaction\u201d for this land, an \u201copen\u201d region, which is \u201cabsolutely aligned\u201d with the approaches of the European Union to \u201copen and strengthen international trade \u201d.<\/p>\n For this, Puig\u00a0has appealed to \u201creciprocity\u201d, to seek a \u201cfavorable\u201d scenario so that companies can compete and work \u201cfreely\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The president has indicated that he is going to explain to the commissioner how the Valencian Community is evolving, which in recent years has been growing above the national and European average,\u00a0whose exports have meant almost 30,000 million euros this year, and which is opening new markets.<\/strong><\/p>\n With regard to the new treaties, Puig recalled that he has been\u00a0in Canada with a trade mission and also in Japan, and will go to Mexico<\/strong>\u00a0when the agreement is reached with that country.<\/p>\n The president has expressed his support for the European vision regarding globalization, and has recalled words from Malmstr\u00f6m in which she stated that we should not let globalization \u201cshape us\u201d, but rather the other way around.<\/p>\n \u201cYou cannot fight globalization from an absolutely outrageous perspective, because globalization can be like cholesterol: good or bad,\u201d said Puig, for whom we must work to ensure that globalization is \u201cpositive for humanity.\u201d \u201d.<\/p>\n For her part, the European Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmstr\u00f6m,\u00a0He has stated that Europe is \u201cvery concerned\u201d about the \u201cthreat\u201d of new tariffs from the United States<\/strong>, such as the importation of vehicles, but they hope to work \u201cconstructively\u201d to resolve these issues.<\/p>\n The commissioner has indicated that at the moment there is "a lot of uncertainty" with the United States, but there is a "permanent dialogue" and they have offered a "positive agenda" to discuss together the obstacles to trade and global threats.<\/p>\n \u201cWe hope to be able to work constructively, but at the moment there are many concerns,\u201d admitted the European commissioner.<\/p>\n However, Malmstr\u00f6m has claimed that the EU's trade situation \u201cis very positive on the one hand\u201d, because new markets are opening up and there are agreements with many countries in the world, such as\u00a0Canada, Japan, Mexico, Singapore or Vietnam, and negotiations will be held with Australia and New Zealand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The commissioner has claimed that these are agreements that demonstrate "the conviction" that global institutions and multinational rules are necessary, as well as defending the "multinational order" that has existed.<\/p>\n Malmstr\u00f6m was grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the Valencian Community, speak with companies in the region and for them to know what is being done in Europe on a commercial level, such as the opening of new markets, what possibilities Valencian
