The FUNICE project, in which the VA SER-UJI participats a partner, has be un projecte d'European Commission in framework of the Erasmus+ programme in the modality "Strategic Partnerships for Vocational and Educational Training". Aquest projecte està coordinat per l'Associació de Développement Rural International du Bas Segala from France.
FUNICE, which aims to redueix the gap between research and farmers in order to improve their training in organic agriculture, has 6 altres international partners in addition to its coordinator. Les partners d'organitzacions del projecte són la Fundació Universitat Jaume I-Empresa (Spain), Growth Coop (Spain), la municipalitat de Karesi (Turkey), la Universitat de Balikesir (Turkey), l'Associació ARID (Poland) i el Institute of Plant Breeding and Acclimatization of Grodkowice (Poland).
All partners in the consortium will work together over the next two years to train agricultural professionals in sustainability and the use of organic components in production. They will also be trained in reducing the use of fertilisers and pesticides.
