The UJI advances the new Horizon Europe 2021-2027 program with the help of national experts

On Friday October 18, the UJI will host a day to present the next European Framework Program for research and innovation: Horizon Europe. This new program, successor to H2020, will run from next year 2021 to 2027. 

This is one of the financing programs Europeans with a larger budget and, therefore, requires great preparation. That is why the Vice-rector for Research and Transfer of the Universitat Jaume I has decided to schedule a day in which the lines of work of what will be the European framework program for research and innovation will be advanced for the coming years.

The Horizon Europe conference will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Higher School of Technology and Experimental Sciences next Friday, October 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will have the intervention of Elisa Álvarez-Bolado, Head of the Framework Program Area of the European Union Programs Division at the Center for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI), who will discuss the challenges and thematic areas of the new program, as well as the new developments it raises.  

Likewise, the day will have the presence of Carlos Martínez Riera, Research and Innovation Advisor at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union (REPER). Martínez Riera will focus his intervention on the anticipated launch of the first calls, the structure of the topics of this new program and the evaluation and selection criteria for proposals. 

Various success stories from previous calls will be presented below, as examples of good practice in preparation for Horizon Europe 2021-2027. Thus, Enrique Sánchez, Director of the Agustín Escardino University Institute of Ceramic Technology, Elena Zuriaga, R&D&I Technical Manager of FACSA and Mireia Ballester, Project Manager of BECSA.

The European and International Projects Office of the UJI, together with the EuroFUE-UJI are in charge of coordinating this Conference, whose objective is to give the greatest possible dissemination to the new European framework program and offer researchers, companies and institutions all the possible tools for the preparation of project proposals with the greatest guarantees of success.
