The EuroFUE-UJI presents the management task of the OCIT-UJI for the promotion, development and assistance to research groups in H2020 projects

Last Thursday, July 18, the EuroFUE-UJI presented its services on Horizon 2020 projects and international projects to different research groups at the UJI at the presentation day of the “European Funds Action Plan” (2018-2020) by by Andreu Iranzo, General Director of Financing and European Funds of the Valencian Community. On the other hand, Cristina Villarroya, head of the UJI European and International Projects Office, presented the OPEI and its recently launched website.

The day began with the intervention of the Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer, Jesús Lancis, who highlighted that the UJI is the seventh university to obtain a return from the more than 225 Valencian entities that participate in European projects and "the second university after the Universitat Politècnica of València", an important fact because only 10% of the proposals presented are accepted. Rector Eva Alcón, who closed the presentation of the day, pointed out that she will promote policies to help research staff increase their participation in international projects and attract external funding.

From the UJI European and International Projects Office, Cristina Villarroya presented the functions of the OPEI and its new website, highlighting that the new structure wants to serve as support and help to research groups in the presentation of European and international projects. international. In addition, Cristina Villarroya highlighted her recent management assignment to the EuroFUE-UJI, with a greater effort in Horizon2020 projects. Next, the FUE-UJI European and International Projects Office team presented the services of the EuroFUE-UJI, highlighting the support in drafting proposals, as well as the search for European and international partners, the organization of conferences and events in Brussels and participation in events such as the European Week of Regions and Cities for the promotion of UJI research groups, among other services.

Finally, Andreu Iranzo continued the day with the presentation of the “European Funds Action Plan” of the Generalitat Valenciana. Among the attendees, in addition to those already mentioned above, were the Director of the OCIT, Ismael Rodrigo Martínez, representatives of the Provincial Council and the Castellón City Council and the deputy manager of the FUE-UJI, Gloria Serra Isierte.
