The EuroFUE-UJI meets with the vice-rector for Linguistic Promotion and Equality of the UJI, Pilar Safont, in order to find synergies in the field of gender equality and careers STEM. The progress of the European project E-STEAM which promotes the study of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics careers among young women, has aroused the interest of the vice-rector for Linguistic Promotion and Equality, who wanted to include the project as part of the framework program for equality in the STEM disciplines of the UJI.
During the meeting held on July 26, both parties agreed to collaborate within the framework of the program, which aims make visible to innovative and entrepreneurial women and promote STEM studies among women.
This program, promoted by the Jaume I University through the vice-rectors for Linguistic Promotion and Equality, for Research and Transfer and for Students and Social Commitment, will begin next September. The role of the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation in carrying out concrete actions will be fundamental, since its experience in the European E-STEAM project of which EuroFUE-UJI is a partner will be very beneficial for the international positioning of this program.
The presentation at the international level of this framework program, designed to create scientific vocations and promote both innovation and entrepreneurship in women, will be carried out during the next transnational meeting of the European E-STEAM project that will be hosted by the Universitat Jaume I on September 25 and 26. This meeting will be attended by all partners and parties involved in the project, making it a relevant date within the framework of the European E-STEAM project.
