The Jaume I University start the program Study Abroad UJI with a group of postgraduate students in Work and Organizational Psychology of the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla (UPAEP), in Mexico. These international students have enrolled in the course Healthy and Resilient Organizations, one of the nine courses included in the UJI Study Abroad, promoted by the Vice-Rector's Office for International Relations with the aim of promoting academic training through short-term stays and multidisciplinary courses.
In the opening session, the vice-rector for International Relations, Eva Camacho, highlighted about the UJI Study Abroad program that "it was not only born as an opportunity to enhance the academic training of students, but as a lifelong knowledge experience."
The Healthy and Resilient Organizations course combines a theoretical curriculum with the presentation and analysis of practical cases from companies in the Valencian Community. The training proposal has the academic direction of the professor of Social Psychology and director of the research group Want-UJI, Marisa Salanova, and the academic coordination of the teacher Valeria Cruz.
Although on this occasion an online format has been chosen, the essence of Study Abroad lies in offering a training and cultural experience through short-term stays at the Universitat Jaume I. For this reason, the group of students from the University of Puebla will also participate in workshops tourist, cultural and gastronomic of the province of Castellón through all current digital tools. The FUE-UJI is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of these academic and cultural activities, within the framework of the implementation of the UJI Study Abroad program through the management commission of the Universitat Jaume I.
The UJI Study Abroad program offers multidisciplinary training through an offer of nine different courses and through short-term stays that contribute to the personal and professional development of young people from all over the world. The courses are taught by leading faculty and researchers in each field and each training program has an updated theoretical curriculum combined with practical cases from the region. The learning experience is enhanced by the international training environment and immersion in the social and cultural life of Castelló.
