The Universitat Jaume I Foundation for Business participated in the Focus on SMEs event through its European and International Projects Office (Eurofue). The head of this office, Nela Gómez, shared her experience in European financing, European funds, and entrepreneurship in a conference on European financing and programs for entrepreneurs.
The opportunities offered by several initiatives, such as the SME Instrument, were discussed. To date, the program has allocated a total of €2.7 billion to SMEs seeking to grow and internationalize. The Erasmus Young Entrepreneurs program for transnational mobility was also discussed.
Nela Gómez has been accompanied by Miguel Marí, HR manager at the NGO Ilewasi, who has contributed his experience as a young entrepreneur who participated in the program Erasmus Young Entrepreneurs in Dublin.
The Eurofue European and International Projects Office is an initiative of the Universitat Jaume I-Business Foundation launched to promote the participation of institutions and companies linked to the FUE-UJI and research groups from the Universitat Jaume I in European projects.
#FocusPyme It is an event promoted and organized by the Generalitat Valenciana (Generalitat Valenciana)—through the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE)—, which reports to the Regional Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade, and Employment. Focus on SMEs and Entrepreneurship in the Valencian Community 2017 is held in collaboration with Castellón City Council, the Castellón Provincial Council, and the Network of European Business Innovation Centers (CEEIs) of the Valencian Community.
