ECOMAyA trains more than 290 students in entrepreneurship, beekeeping and sustainability

The project ECOMAyA has carried out a total of 16 training courses that have trained a total of 296 young people and women from vulnerable sectors or with low possibility of job placement. This project international organization funded by the European Commission under the EuropeAid program, has trained its almost 300 participants in entrepreneurship, beekeeping and sustainability in order to promote and offer the necessary tools for the implementation of sustainable projects, based on the circular economy around beekeeping theme.

ECOMAyA has the experience and work of three international teams, the Network of Technicians and Professionals of Roman Emilia. PROTER (Argentina), the research group SOGRES from the Jaume I University of Castellón (Spain) specialized in circular economy and sustainable entrepreneurship and the Universitat Jaume I-Company Foundation of Castellón (Spain) experts in entrepreneurship, communication and marketing. The three teams have coordinated the training activities, both in person and online.

Thus, 3 food handling courses have been offered in the Municipality of General Alvarado, at the Ayelén Institute and at EES 47 with 26, 23 and 44 participants respectively. The training courses such as Sanitary Installer and Machine Operator for the Production of Beekeeping Clothing have had 11 attendees in total. The beekeeping is the central axis of the ECOMAyA project, therefore, the courses such as Beekeeping Operator, Beekeeping Assistant, Beekeeper, Good Beekeeping Manufacturing Practices, Beekeeping Production and Management of the Beekeeping Company and Honey Extraction have had a strong impact on the 111 students trained .

In addition, transversal and complementary training has been offered in Management and Administration of Sustainable Businesses with 16 participants, Marketing and Communication with 22 trained students, Introduction to Sustainable Microentrepreneurship with 18 participants and the Training of Trainers courses to Train Entrepreneurs and in Economic Projects Circulate with a total of 25 students.
Achieved its training objective in the first year of project implementation, ECOMAyA will accompany the trained students in the application of the contents and the execution of their own projects during their next 2 years of implementation. In addition, ECOMAyA will continue to offer different training during the years 2022 and 2023 that will complement the training of this first year and will facilitate the launch of the ventures promoted in this first phase of the project.
