The FUE-UJI launches the Business Breakfasts: Europe 2027 initiative on European funding

The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament will approve the budget for the European investment and development programs on January 1, 2021. aids for the period 2021-2027. These programs will have a budget of more than 1,100,000 million euros. Access to these programs is, on many occasions, unknown to companies, foundations and other civil society entities. For this reason, the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation, through its European and International Projects Office (EuroFUE-UJI), launches the initiative “Work breakfasts: Europe 2027”, whose objective is to make available to the foundation's trustees all the tools to learn about these programs and European funding opportunities.

With the support of Caixa Almassora As a collaborating financial entity, the FUE-UJI will meet its 31 Trustees once a month in the “Work breakfasts: Europe 2027”. These meetings will discuss the different programs and calls for European funding and access to them, as well as other opportunities that Europe offers to companies and entities. The first breakfast, inaugurated by Eva Alcon, rector of the UJI and Carlos Cabrera, executive president of the FUE-UJI, will take place on September 30. This first meeting will present the complete cycle “Work Breakfasts: Europe 2027” with topics such as the program Innovation Fund, Green Deal, EIC Accelerator and Horizon Europe.

The European Commission distributes the investment and aid budget through operational programs such as the Regional Policy managed by the Member States and their regions and other programs linked to community policies managed directly from Brussels. The latter, which have a global budget of more than 120,000 million euros, are the ones that will mark the lines of action of the “Work breakfasts: Europe 2027”. These plans, aimed at the growth objectives of the European Union, financially support actions in the fields of innovation, R&D, the environment, energy, etc.

The format of the “Work breakfasts: Europe 2027” It will have an important participatory component that will promote debate and the exchange of experiences among attendees in this type of European funding programs. The FUE-UJI Trustees who attend the meetings will receive latest information from experts from the different European institutions regarding these financing plans and other European aid, such as the European plan. Next Generation EU, the fund for the sustainable, equitable, inclusive and fair recovery of all Member States.
