The Erasmus+ TTT-I project has organized a training week for trainers of language trainers for migrants and people at risk of exclusion at the FUE-UJI, partners of the project. Between 13 and 17 September 2021, FUE-UJI hosted this training activity in Castelló, which together brought trainers from Greece, Spain and Poland. This training week has marked the launching point of the online platform Cyber Cafe, developed within the framework of the project, to offer training resources in languages to trainers of trainers of immigrants, refugees and people at risk of social exclusion.
Representatives of the different partner organizations of this Erasmus+ project have given the training sessions. In addition to the FUE-UJI, Fundacja Ad Meritum from Poland, the Active Citizens Association and Second Chance School of Mytilene, both from Greece, have given the training. Pilar Safont, Vice-Rector for Language Promotion and Equality of the Universitat Jaume I, was in charge of welcoming the participants, as well as inaugurating this week of training, accompanied by Gloria Serra, general manager of FUE-UJI. The participants in these training days have enjoyed training in activities that follow non-formal learning methodologies around gender equality, the European socio-economic environment, the language café, as well as training in the use of the online platform Cyber Café, where they can find more resources.
In addition to the various training activities, the participants also enjoyed a series of workshops and cultural visits. Among them, they were able to enjoy the workshop given by the Castellón NGO Ilewasi, which presented its social activities to the participants in the training. They also visited the Museo Inacabado de Arte Urbano (MIAU) in Fanzara, through which they were able to see how art can reactivate rural areas.
After this successful training week, the consortium will continue working on the following activities of dissemination of the results and training materials of the project, in order to ensure access to these training resources to all those trainers who need them through the online platform Cyber Café.
