The Jaume I University of Castelló (UJI) celebrated this Tuesday, May 4, the Virtual Presentation Workshop of the new Erasmus+ Program for the dissemination of the Erasmus + calls, especially the KA2 Key Action. This webinar, which has had a large participation of UJI research groups, has been promoted by the Vice-rector for Internationalization and Cooperation of the University.
The session was opened by Eva Alcon, rector of the UJI, who stated that "the Erasmus program is one of the main achievements of the EU as well as an essential tool in the internationalization of the university", but has appealed to the need "to go beyond mobility and be able to promote cooperation and strategic alliances between entities from different countries. In this sense, he has highlighted the UJI's commitment to promoting initiatives linked to the KA2 Key Action, which include associations for cooperation; associations of excellence, such as action Erasmus Mundus, as well as alliances for innovation. As an example, he cited the creation, through the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation, of a unit specialized in managing calls for the Erasmus+ KA2 program in the European and International Projects Office.
The Workshop has had the participation of SEPIE, which acts as the National Agency for the management, dissemination and promotion of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union in the field of Education and Training. Alfonso Gentil, director of SEPIE, participated in the opening of the day, highlighting the great trajectory of the UJI in the Erasmus+ program, to which he added that "understanding what Europe is begins with Erasmus+."
Andrew Ajo, director of the SEPIE School and Adult Education Unit, has presented the next more digital, more inclusive and more sustainable Erasmus+ program. In addition, it has offered recommendations for participation in Key Action 2, especially addressing Partnerships for Cooperation, their objectives, priorities, expected results, financing and advice for preparing a successful proposal.
Eva Camacho, deputy vice-rector for Internationalization and Cooperation of the UJI, participated in the workshop presenting the action Erasmus Mundus. It has placed special emphasis on the requirements and measures demanded by the European Commission for the preparation of proposals under this action of the Erasmus+ KA2 program.
In addition, success stories have been presented CLEAR and OnTrain, coordinated by the UJI, and in which they have participated Pilar Escuder, coordinator of the Universitat per a Majors of the UJI, and Roger Esteller, Project coordinator OnTrain of the UJI, respectively.
The Erasmus+ Workshop has also had the participation of entities, associations, administrations and companies that wish to obtain European funding. He has addressed all of them Joan Antoni Martin, vice-rector for Internationalization and Cooperation of the UJI, during the closing of the Erasmus+ Workshop, encouraging them to participate in the next calls for this program.
After the day, the UJI research groups, who have requested it, met with experts in European funding to work on potential project proposals for the next Erasmus+ call. All of this, in order to encourage their participation in this program, as well as give them the necessary tools to present proposals with the greatest guarantees of success.
