Akbar Khayyam, ambassador of Pakistan in Spain, has visited the Universitat Jaume I on the occasion of the inauguration of the VI Summer Course on Children's Rights and Education for Peace, and with the intention of establishing avenues of collaboration, including , with the EuroFUE-UJI through European projects.
The ambassador, who has been in office since the end of March, and his companions, Malik Hammad Ahmad, professor and doctor at the University of Lahore, current course coordinator and former student of the UJI Master of Peace, together with Danish Mehmood, deputy secretary of the Embassy of Pakistan, have participated in a working meeting at the FUE-UJI chaired by Joan Antoni Martín Montaner, vice-rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, and which was also attended by Eva Camacho, deputy vice-rector for Internationalization and Cooperation; Mar Valero, OCDS technician; Gloria Serra, deputy director of the FUE-UJI and the EuroFUE-UJI team with Nela Gómez as the person in charge.
The Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation has made a presentation of the UJI and all its activities in order to establish avenues for collaboration with universities in Pakistan. Likewise, EuroFUE-UJI has presented its services and the possibilities of working together with Pakistan through European projects. Finally, the Psychosocial Observatory of Resources in Disaster Situations (OPSIDE) has been presented, an initiative that has been very interesting for the ambassador.
