On March 5 and 6, EuroFUE-UJI hosted the first transnational meeting between the partners of the European Erasmus+ project C.I.A. Project, which promotes the intergenerational exchange of knowledge through Intergenerational Civic Councils. The University Campus, where the FUE-UJI headquarters is located, has been the first meeting point between the partners of this European project, of which the FUE-UJI is coordinator.
In addition to having the FUE-UJI as coordinator, the consortium of this project is made up of five other international organizations. These are INNETICA also from Spain, the Sports and Youth Directorate of Brasov County from Romania, the Sójovem das Saibreiras Association from Portugal, Tavsanli Kaymakamligi from Turkey and the Education Research and Innovation Institute Foundation from Poland. All of them were represented on Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6 at the initial meeting of this Erasmus+ project framed in the Strategic Partnerships in the field of Youth modality.

This meeting has marked the starting signal for this ambitious project. During these two days, work meetings have been organized with the aim of laying the foundations on which the project will be implemented, defining the actions within its framework, as well as establishing their schedule.
The CIA Project will be implemented over the next 20 months and will work on the development of a methodology for the implementation of Intergenerational Civic Councils, a practical guide for participants in the councils, as well as the implementation of an online platform that facilitates the operation of this initiative.

All of this, with the ultimate goal of promoting the exchange of intergenerational knowledge from adults to young people. The CIA project will work with Local Intergenerational Civic Councils that promote the development of new and potential personal and professional skills, as well as the improvement of personal relationships between generations, which has proven to be especially beneficial for the development of both groups.
