ZERO WASTE ON SUSTAINABILITY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY IS THE NEW ERASMUS+ PROJECT OF THE FUE-UJI

A new Erasmus+ project ZERO WASTE It joins the 15 European projects already implemented by FUE-UJI. This project, in which EuroFUE-UJI participates as a partner, will focus on training adults around the concepts of sustainability and circular economy. The project, coordinated by Democracy University of Izmir (Turkey), has a total of 6 partners, among which is FUE-UJI.

ZERO WASTE is a European project funded under the Erasmus+ program in the “Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education” modality, it will be implemented for 24 months by EuroFUE-UJI. During this time the project will work to reduce the volume of non-recyclable waste through training and the creation of an innovative curriculum and, thus, promote entrepreneurship in these areas.

In addition to having the Democratic University of Izmir (Turkey) as coordinator and FUE-UJI as partner, the consortium of ZERO WASTE It is made up of five more entities from different countries: the University of Balikesir (Turkey), the multicultural organization SWIDEAS (Sweden), the Slovak University of Agriculture V (Slovakia), the consulting firm EMKICE (Republic of North Macedonia) and the town of KARESI (Turkey).

Through this consortium, the project ZERO WASTE The ultimate objective is to reduce the volume of non-recyclable waste. To achieve this, it will carry out a study that analyzes the current situation in Europe and Turkey regarding the Circular Economy and Zero Waste using different indicators and will train adults in the skills and knowledge necessary to begin implementing the principles of the Circular Economy through the Zero Waste methodology.
