E-STEAM is a project that seeks to guarantee that girls and women have equal access to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education. In the national framework, FUE participates as a partner, while EuroFUE-UJI is in charge of executing the project.

This aims to combat cultural stereotypes that generally prevent women and girls from choosing STEM careers. Therefore, the project focuses on co-developing interdisciplinary courses for primary, secondary and VET teachers. With the aim of taking gender issues into account in their classes and thus increasing the number of women in their studies. That is, involve them.
Within the work carried out by the consortium, we find the compilation of information from the expert committee. This group includes Juan Viesca,
General Director of European Projects and Funds of the Generalitat Valenciana, Gloria Serra, manager of the FUE, Pilar Safont, vice-rector of Linguistic Promotion and Equality, and Mercedes Alcáñiz, Director of the Equality Unit of the UJI and professor of Sociology.
On May 30, Alcáñiz dedicated a few words to the EuroFUE-UJI team explaining his perspective and point of view on the matter.
