The UJI receives a visit from a delegation from Macedonia

A group of businessmen and representatives of public entities from Macedonia visited the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón today with the aim of getting to know the Castellón university and studying possible avenues for collaboration, especially in the field of European projects.

The delegation, headed by the mayor of Strumica, one of the main cities in the country and notable for being one of the tourist centers in the area, met at the headquarters of the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation with its manager, Cipriano de Mesa and with Carmen Lázaro, the elected Vice-rector of Culture and Institutional Relations, with the UJI Professors Juan Carda and Javier Sánchez and with Nela Gómez, head of the EuroFUE-UJI. Andrej Tomikl, an Erasmus student from Macedonia, has also been invited. At the meeting there was a presentation of the Universitat Jaume I and the possibilities of collaboration in the different calls for European projects such as Erasmus+, Creative Europe, Europaid, COSME, etc.

The delegation is made up of executives from Macedonian firms in the tourism, water treatment and technology sectors. The visit has been coordinated by the president of the Euro-Macedonian Knowledge Innovation Center, Ilija Vukov, and whose agenda in Castellón has continued with a visit to the Castellón Chamber of Commerce. The rest of the week they will move to Valencia and Alicante.
